On Sunday we (Mama, Papa, Aunt Teresa, and Cousin Victoria) took Zachary to the Balt. Zoo. The weather was perfect and we all had a blast. Zachary really loved the goats!

Zachary First time at the beach

A few weeks ago we took a trip to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I was attending a medical conference so Cynthia and Zachary tagged along. While I was hard at work they both had fun at the pool and in the ocean. Zachary was terrified of the sand. He didn't like the way it moved under his feet. He was so scared of it that he just sat and played on the beach blanket. It worked out well as we knew he would not wonder off in the sand. By the end of the trip he was able to sit in the sand but still would not move.

He did great on the plane. It was a short flight compared to flying from VN. He only got restless towards the end of the flight. Fortunatley this summer our vacation will be a short drive to OC. ~ Skip

We are having a lot of problems posting pictures. Hopefully soon I can post more.

Time to update the weblog

We have been spending so much time with Zachary that we forgot to keep the blog updated. We have gotten a lot of request to keep posting to the blog. So back by popular demand we will be updating it in the next couple of weeks.

We have been having a lot of trouble posting pics. I'll keep trying. I know everyone mostly wants to see pics.

Friends and Family

I can't believe we have been home for almost 3wks. Its been a whirl -wind of excitement. The first week home was really challanging. All of our time schedules were completely messed up. Zachary was waking up at 3 -4am ready to play. He was sleeping about 3 hours at a time. Some have described the jet lag as this bottomless pit that you fall into around mid-day. For me, it was like walking around in a deep fog. I was so excited the 1st day I finally felt clear headed. Between adjusting to the 12hr time difference, the baby's schedule, and Skip returning to work it was a challange to function.

Now we are in a great rountine everyday. Zachary is eating very well, and he is taking two short naps a day, and sleeping a good 12 hours a night. Getting him to bed is easy. We have our regular rountine which he loves. During the day we play, listen to music and work on muscle development. Its amazing the improvements he has made over the last month. He is full of energy and loves to explore. We also had our 1st drs appt and everything checked out fine.
Of course when we got home we shared some Christmas time with our families, and we have been slowly going out to visit other friends and family. Its been a lot of fun and I look forward to Zachary meeting more friends and family in the months to come.
